Meet Avinash Kaur Dhaliwal a proud Papatoetoe local, a mother of a teenager, a Justice of the Peace, a Marriage Celebrant, and a committed community worker.
Avinash brings a wealth of experience across various fields including technical support, administration, customer service, quality control, and small business ownership. With a Graduation Degree in Commerce, she is dedicated to lifelong learning and meaningful contribution. Her journey from migrant to active community leader reflects her deep gratitude for the opportunities Aotearoa has offered and her strong desire to give back.
Recently, Avinash was honoured with a Community Service Certificate by the Local Board in recognition of her volunteer work.
As a proud Sikh and New Zealander, she lives by the values of Seva (selfless service), compassion, and unity values she shared in action as part of the Sikh community’s response during COVID-19, Cyclone Gabrielle, and recent floods.
