Jack Mould

From the Port Hills to our bustling village centres, the Heathcote ward is one of the best places to live.

I’m proud to call Heathcote home, living in Waltham with my partner after buying our first home in 2023. We are spoiled with access to the Ōpāwaho/Heathcote River, and often visit Sumner for its great beach and top-notch fish and chips.

As a small business owner in animal welfare and environmental education,  I understand the challenges small businesses face in today’s economy and the value they bring to our community. That’s why I’m committed to supporting local businesses.

My passion for our environment is deep. I’ve organised local litter clean-ups and, with my background in animal management and conservation, I’m dedicated to protecting our native wildlife and ecosystems.

I bring proven governance experience, serving as a trustee on the Christchurch Pride Charitable Trust. I also care deeply about public safety and have previously campaigned for safer public transport. I want to continue this work and look at how we can create safer streets for kids walking and cycling to school. Feeling safe where you live should be a right that everyone gets to enjoy!

I’m young, energetic, and ready to bring a fresh perspective to the community board. I will work tirelessly to ensure your voice is heard.

Let’s build a Heathcote ward with strong local businesses, a protected natural environment, and safe, inclusive neighbourhoods where everyone feels welcome.
