Kate Hodgins

Kia ora koutou, ko Kate Hodgins ahau.

I am standing for the Waihoro-Spreydon-Cashmere-Heathcore Community Board. Although this is my first time standing, I’ve been an active community member since moving to the city 20 years ago.

I have a background in research and a long term interest in environmental protection and sustainability. I’m currently a board member of the Christchurch Envirohub.

Over the years, I’ve advocated strongly for safer streets and better transport choices. I also support community based solar for reduced emissions, lower energy bills and resilience for more people. We live in a fantastic part of our city, between the hills and sea, and I want to ensure it stays a great place to live for many generations to come.
