Malcolm Anngow

As a dedicated community advocate and volunteer, I share the concerns of many about the Council’s current severe financial situation. Urgent action is required to address these fiscal challenges. I believe the Council should operate with the efficiency of a well-run business, rather than mainly relying on ratepayers as an endless source of funding.

My experience includes working collaboratively at the board table to consider diverse viewpoints and help guide groups toward effective and practical solutions. Over the years, I have served on boards at both local and national levels, including social support organisations, sports clubs, a service club, and two major industry bodies representing a combined membership of 3,500.

I have worked as A motor mechanic, Tire technician, barman gold panning demonstrator, a marketing and business advisor, a car salesman, a vehicle dealership manager, a back country tour guide, a co-manager and the head guide of a VIP tour guiding company.
