Why I’m standing

Our ratepayers have been let down with higher rates, more bureaucracy and wasteful projects, while core services are neglected. It’s time to get back to basics with working infrastructure and value for money. After 30+ years living in the Northern Ward, I know the challenges our community faces. Rising costs, failing pipes and poor roads show that council priorities are wrong. With my background in IT, I understand how to solve problems and deliver results.

About me

I have lived 30+ years in the Northern Ward with proven experience in large corporations to local government and voluntary roles in the local community. I enjoy solving problems and delivering results. I bring practical experience, strong community connections and a commitment to fairness – treating all residents equally and resisting ideological distractions. Local government should serve ratepayers, not itself, and I will make sure money is spent wisely.

My priorities

Stop the council’s endless above-inflation rates hikes by cutting wasteful pet projects.

Fix basics such as roads, drains and water infrastructure that locals depend on.

End the war on cars and stop the obsession with more cycleways and narrowing roads.
