Susan Diao

A Brief Personal Introduction

I am Susan Diao, a long-time Henderson-Massey resident, senior lecturer at Manukau Institute of Technology for over 10 years, and a Justice of the Peace. I am also a school board member and an active community volunteer, deeply engaged with diverse communities including Chinese, Pasifika, Indian, and other ethnic groups. I hold a Master’s degree in Management and am completing my PhD.

Why I Am Running for Election

I believe local government decisions should reflect the voices of all communities. Henderson-Massey is one of the most diverse areas in Auckland, yet many residents feel unheard. I am running to bridge that gap — to ensure that our local board truly listens, understands, and takes action for everyone, regardless of background.
